A dear friend and long time sufferer of Morgellons has passed on to the beyond. She was part of the Morgellons Thunder Campaign involving the "Rolling Thunder" motorcycles in an event in Utah which raised money for Morgellons studies. She had Morgellons for over 25 years, and suffered severely. She had been told that "under no circumstance believe that Fibromyalgia is not involved, for it is, and connective tissue is involved"....... from a doctor who understood in the early 1990s. If only we saw the connection then.
Please send up prayers, thoughts and peace to her family.

Laurie Galvez
1958 ~ 2014
Laurie Galvez, our loving and beautiful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, left this world to join our Heavenly Father. She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1976. She fought a long, exhausting yet courageous battle of Morgellons disease.
Laurie lead a beautiful life, filled with many qualities that she shared with all those she came in contact with.
Among her many achievements, she enjoyed doing hair for her family, friends and clients. She made many quilts by hand over the years for her family, ensuring we were all wrapped in the warmth of her love.
She was an outstanding softball player, gymnast and cheer-leader who will continue to root on her 49ers from heaven. Laurie leaves behind a large, loving family and many dear friends.
