I have been using an allergy free cover on my comforter, which has been great. It has been very effective on cutting down on the fibers, however, I had to clean the comforter today.
Knowing that I could have a cloud of fibers breeding in there, I too it oustside and disassembled it. Sure enough, a plume of fibers spewed out of it. It was like an alien dust storm.
I immediately put the comforter in a Glad trash bag and tied it up.
Should I get this dry cleaned?
Throw it out?
Is there a better, less fiber friendly cover/comforter I can use?

caban, we wish that we knew.
The problem with this Morgellon's material, is that it is literally everywhere.
I have found it on brand new clothing, old sweaters, underwear, bras, socks, stockings, bathroom floors, pillowcases, outside stairs and windowsills, as well as on the ground, in trees and on rocks.
It is everywhere and there is no escape.
we could havbe our homes, carpets, furniture, bedding clothes, drapes professionally cleaned just to turn around a few days later and find it all contaminated again.
I would say the best bet at this point is just to launder everything as often as possible and clean the home freqently...dusting, floors ect...
wish I had more help for you, sorry I don't.
Take care and thanks for sticking around!!

I cannot stress how well the cover works. It has cut down on the fibers by hundreds, if not thousands. You can get them at Bed, Bath and Beyond for about $50. Best investment I have made on this weird trip.
