Hello
I have being doing a lot of reading on Oriental Medicine and the large intestine. As we know that the gastrointestinal tract is a prominent part of the immune system. Not only our capacity to fight infections, but also our emotions, behaviors, and ability to learn and communicate- in other words, our well being is affected by what we eat and by the quantities of what we eat.
There are huge connections in between our nervous system functions and the immune system. In fact, the immune system can not technically be separated from the nervous system- they work in connection and their functions are intertwined, and everything starts with what we eat and where it ends.
Not everything we eat can reach the brain because of the brain barrier. Some large molecules must only be produced in the brain- they can't reach the brain from the outside. But the liver, pancreas, and spleen- together with the kidneys start to fail and they can't support the brain after they abuse that they receive.
We grow up in families in which the size of our plate reflects the size of our joy. We eat very large portions and we do not know it. I have being reading all of these info for years now, but it never really sank in my mind until today.
Sugar, salt, and fats are consumed in quantities that were unfathomable to people who lived 100 years ago. Once we pass certain levels of sugar, salt, and fat- we truly are killing ourselves.
Please read this link. It is easy
