I read in the paper that: Number of Baby Boys Declining ................ Pollution isn't JUST A THREAT TO MANKIND-IT'S A THREAT TO MAN! That's the shocking conclusions from a pair of sociology professers, who believe that industrial , chemicals in the environment are causing global decline in the birth of baby boys. The professors, Jim Brophy and Margaret Keith, from Canada's University of Windsor, studied birth sex ratios in the Aamjiwnaang First Nation Community which is near a large concentration of petrochemical plants in southwestern Ontario. Examining the community's birth records, the professors found a "dramatic drop" in the number of boys born in the past decade. Brophy notes that between 1999 and 2003 , 132 babies were born and only 46 of them were boys. Typically in Canada , there are slightly more boys born than girls. Although no definite links have been proven, Brophy says studies in the US and other industrialized nations show that toxic chemicals seem to cause a "whole host" of disorders in male children- as well as a lower birth rate. What do you think, ?

The male sperm in human semen is faster than the female sperm, but the female sperm in human semen is known to live longer. It is believed to be in man's genetic make up where the percentages of X and Y Chromosomes are determined. In other words, if a man only has daughters, it is his fault, because man donates X or Y Chromosomes while the woman can only donate X. So if I am not mistaken, all woman are XX and all men are XY, unless there is a genetic malformation- which causes broken chromosomes and people are born with Klinifelter syndrome or the triple X, or things of that nature. Having said all that, in my country people believe that regular sexual relationships will yield a male offspring because of the over population of the faster swimmers which are all male sperm. They also believe that when people have sporadic sex not taking in consideration the fertility cycle , it always yields a baby girl, because the female sperm (X chromosome) lived longer and travel slow enough to fertilize the egg just in time while the male sperm dies before the egg is available. I hope this was somehow helpful. There are so many unwanted pregnancies, abortions, and still born births that I think it is difficult to look at the numbers.
Nite. Fruity.

Dear Aqt, Thanks for the warm welcome.
I forgot to mention, that women are only fertile once every month. We know it, but we forget it. So if women have sex in days that are still relatively distant to the fertile day, and avoid sex on their fertile day- they may increase their chances of having a girl- because of the X chromosome sperm (girl) might endure the travel to meet the egg- while all the Y chromosome sperm (boy) might die waiting to meet the egg.
I am sorta repeating myself- it is easier to explain with a graph, haha- but the bottom line is that the sexual habits of people have changed. There is TV now, and You tube, so people interest and behaviors have changed (chuckles). I think that people who are very interested in procreation can really study their way into increasing their chances of having a boy. But the initial premise that the male population is decreasing is still valid. This is like the 'mystery' of the increase of C-section births. The idea of having a baby by having my belly cut out makes me want to faint, but it is very real! C-sections are on the rise. Which means, if there was no C-section, all those people would have been dead! We are not owners of our lives! I think that it is humbling to be alive!
Life, Hope, Charity,
Fruity.

fruity, I myself, had a c-section.
Once again, it is due to mycoplasma infections...
Mycoplasma hominis and Ureaplasma urealyticum
these are the culprits of c-section births and the Mycoplasma genitalium is partially responsible for all of the current infertility.
sad but true.
thanks for being here and sharing your thoughts... they are always welcome in my world ;D

scorpio, thanks for the compliment!!
Not really a smart cookie, just a self-educated one!!!! LOLOL
These mycoplasmas are in vectors such as mosquitoes ect...not just from having unprotected sex.
Many of us are infected with several strains of mycoplasma and don't know it.
I believe the Morgellon's is recombining with it...adding insult to injury.
off to work....have a great day

You know, I was just recently thinking the same thing about there being more female babies born today than ever. it could be explained by everything you all have said and more.
I think eventually, (if we live long enough to see it) we will be a-sexual. Neuter gender. More homosexual people exist than ever before (not a bad thing) which might possibly be explained by the fact that there are more people than ever before and no reason to be in the closet anymore, but I'm seeing so much cross-gendering, I think it's just happening. Why are there more girls than boys being born?
I know, I know!!!! because WOMEN ARE MEANT TO RULE THE WORLD ;D LOL

It's also surprising that most of us morgies are women all in the same age group. Maybe they're targeting us cuz we're so dam smart!
